Hi,

Im using uircd 2.8.2 and epona 1.4.8 , whenever i enable proxy scanning services starts up normal without any error, does checks kills proxys etc. But suddenly within an hour the server breaks the connection. The services log files dont mention any error. The connection just gets lost. I dont have this when running services without the proxy scan enabled.

Im guessing your running this on a public shell server. Most such shell servers have automated mechanisms to shutdown processes which use too much resources.

On Linux systems, proxy checking in Epona uses one additional process per thread. The default in services.conf i belive is 5, meaning you would be running 6 processes just for services.

I would expect that this is whats happening as most shell providers do not allow you to run more than a set number of processes.
