Title: A little question
Post by: Alex on August 21, 2005, 09:59:27 pm
Hello,

I have a problem with setting AOP in 2 channels. I get the following message when I try to make someone AOP wit the following command:

/msg ChanServ AOP #Channel ADD Nick

Then it tells me:

[19:37] -ChanServ- Permission denied.

I'm the root of the server, so I don't understand why I can't make anyone AOP in just 2 channels, but in the rest of them it was no problem.

This is my O-flags: +fghkmnoprswxzACGMWZ

Any suggestions :?:

Thanks

This post should be in the services forum, not here.

You need to identify to NickServ before trying to edit the AOP list.

Services and IRCd access priviledges are completely separate with one exception.
OperServ access for basic IRC Operator commands checks if you are a global IRC Operator, and being an IRC Operator is a prerequisite to any access to Operator commands. But Services Admin and root admin levels are services controlled.

Hello Shadow,

Thanks for the explanation. I went through some different things regarding my question and found it. :)
