Anope and /os sqline
« on: December 21, 2005, 12:15:19 pm »
Hi all,

I'm using the UltimateIRCd 3.0.1 and Anope 1.7.12.

Usually I could use, /os sqline add +0d #chan reason, but somehow this is disabled now. Anope complains that the IRCd doesn't support channel bans like this. This isn't true, or at least wasn't true earlier. If I check /os sqline list then I find some of the old entries I added like #irc.*. Why is this a problem all of a sudden??
Is Anope changed by mistake??
Is it UltimateIRCd 3.0.1 that can't do it anymore??

Thanks for helping

I solved the issue, there was a bug in Anope 1.7.x.
Under, src/protocol/ultimate.c there is a line where SQLines for Chans to 0 (disabled). This is a Anope bug and has to be changed.

I will report it on the Anope forum, but maybe they don't believe me :) so report it directly if you have any direct contacts. Thx.

What needs to be clear that the user can't seem to say.. is that channel sqline behaviour has changed.. not that sqline itself no longer works but channel sqlines do not work........

when did that happen when Anope split up into protocols.. some time ago.. yes its a one line change to get it work again and it has been reported to the anope developers to get them to fix it.. perphas next time using their bugtracker???
