Ping time out very long

hi dude,,



this is my current problem

[17:44] -irc.xxxx.org- *** Connect/Exit -- from irc.mp3japan.org: Client exiting: sakura ([email protected]) [219.95.215.230] [Ping timeout: 181 seconds]

why does it happen, should i change ping reply in sec. If yes where to fix.

The ping frequency is controlled by the client class. Ie Y lines. The reason a ping timeout occurs is because the client is no longer responding. There is nothing you can do about it in reality since internet routing issues and packet loss is part of everyday life on the internet.

i come out with an analysis regarding this matter:

most of users experiencing ping time out session is becoz of they are using 3g broadband(sucks line)

ping time out less from cable user(high speed).
