ChanServ, NickServ etc ???
« on: September 22, 2005, 01:44:48 am »
Hi

OK I got it up and running fine, I edited the files as I was supposed to and I can connect no problem.

But where is the Chanserv, NickServ etc files...where are they supposed to be, I don't have any....ok buy now you've probably noticed I'm new to this, and I know you need these to set up security, and register etc.

Could someone please explain where I get/locate these files and/or is there any templates that I could edit my own from.

Thanks for your patience

scsi

Services like NickServ, Chanserv and so on is not part of the IRCd. They are separate third party daemons which much be obtained and run separately.
This is mainly to allow end users a good choice as there are several good services packages out there.

For windows i would probably start by looking into Anope IRC Services.
