Gline??? is this still about
« on: October 23, 2005, 04:01:58 am »
I have a user that I need to gline from our network?  Now in previous ircd you can type /gline *(&(&^^&* now this appears to not be support in v3.

What commands do I need to do?

To create a local ban you need to issue a /kline
Quote
<<Server>> Adds a k:line to the server which is temporary and will disappear
<<Server>> once the server is restarted or crashes or such unless 0 is given as
<<Server>> the delay. At which point the k:line becomes a K:line.
<<Server>>
<<Server>>
<<Server>> Syntax: /kline <duration> <mask> :<reason>
<<Server>>
<<Server>> Example: /kline 60 *@127.0.0.6 :This is almost local host
<<Server>>
<<Server>> If you don't specify a duration the default of 30 minutes is used.
<<Server>> Once again if you specify 0 as a duration, the server will add the ban
<<Server>> to the kline config means it will be permanent.

For network wide bans you will need to employ services like Anope and use the akill (autokill) feature.
