Hello,

After being reading almost all the documents for configuring install, O-flags and all other stuff, I have a wish that the developers could make a better information, so also newbies who use UIRCd 2.8 to 3.0.1 could understand what all the stuff means and how to use it, maybe with some examples. Myself have asked a lot of questions and some of the answers has been good and some not so good. I know I have said this before, but the developers need to think about that it is not only people with years of experiense that use UIRCd, but also newbies like myself. It is like when u start in school, you go there to learn, but you don't learn if you not get an explanation of what you ask for. The same is it for this.

I know the mods here are volunters and do this on their freetime, but on the other side, when they have choosen to do so I'd believe people also expect some answers that is understandable when asking for something they don't understand. For my own, I've choosen to not ask much more here, since it is difficult to get an answer even for a command f.example setting /MOTD and /RULES.  Even if I got an answer regarding Hidden Host, I still don't know where I do that, so I guess I have to let it be and just try to ask somewhere else.

I'm sorry to say this, but I felt it has to come through.

Our wiki is freely modifyable, so if you feel something could be explained better in a way, feel free to edit it. I think the FAQ there cover a great deal of things, but before you attempt to install an IRCd, we expect people to be at least a little familiour with the OS they're going to install it on, Linux for instance. It's not our job to teach people how to use Linux. Installing programs on windows is just as hard if you have absolutely no clue about how the OS works.

About your question about the hidden hosts, Shadow has given you exactly what to change in the source in order to make it work.. And if you have any more questions after that, feel free to ask.. All we ask is just to have a look at it yourself before asking a question, which I felt you didn't do in a couple of cases.

I know he answered and I appreciate it. First of all, I'm not using Linux, but UNIX. Second, I did not ask you to teach me anything. I give up...enough said.
