I would like to know if you guys at shadow-relm, are planning to make an windows based ircd, or and ircd that would be compadible to linking to an Unreal ircd, so that the networks can have a broder base of network.

We have no plans for any windows builds at current, and there is likely never going to be possible for Ultimate and Unreal to be compactible.

However third party, unofficial builds of UltimateIRCd for windows are known to exsist, i do not however know of any distribution locations for any such builds at current.

Hey ShadowMaster,
Do you mind if i try to code your IRCD to work on and Windows based machine? I have some coding background, so I think it is able to be done. I would of corse leave all the programing credit to you since you created this awsome program.

Not at all.

In fact we would welcome any contribution that would make it possible for the codebase (3.0 preferably) to be compiled cleanly either with Cygwin or a naitive windows compiler. The latter would likely require more work.

The requirements for such modifications to be added is that all windows specific code be enclosed within #ifdef's and a compile guide be written.
The windows builds and eventual releases would be unsupported by us of course.

Of course, in the event of contributed code/patches, full recognition will be given :)
